To our dearest beloved brother and friend, we enjoyed the time that we comuned together. We absorbed the many conversations which we shared. We will always treasure the friendship and knowledge you so graciously shared through the good times and the bad times.

Through all we gather, we gain understanding of how to balance us to the higher stage of Life - which is Wisdom, Grace, and Sweet Union together in Heaven. So we bless you and the comfort of all the Ancestry.

May they always carry you on the cloud of Jah.

Priestess Miriam pictured left...to the now Spirit Saint Priest Oswan. Not the Last but the First. This is not an End but a Beginning... "I will die a long time before you, but when I die the Temple will be completely formed and you will do what is necessary to carry the Temple." This was from Priest Oswan to Priestess Miriam around six years before his Passing.

Priest Oswan was a teacher who stressed the Dignity, Honor, and Respect of the Loa, all Spirits, and all People.
The Voice of the Drums echo what Oswan gives and return it to Him. What is Sent out, Comes Back.

We will all Pass... To Live Well is to Die Well. To Fear Death is to Fear Life.
Priest Oswan once Described Initiation as, the Process of overcoming Fear.

THE PASSING OF THE HOUNGAN

OSWAN CHAMANI INTO THE LAND OF THE INVISIBLES

"Behind living and dreaming lies the most important thing, waking up." ...Priest Oswan Chamani

Priest Oswan Chamani was born in Belize Central America where he studied Voodoo (called Obeah in Central America) under three different teachers of which two were African Diviners. He was equally advanced in his spiritual and metaphysical gifts. Under the direction of his spiritual teachers he became well versed in the use of herbs which enabled him to write the book entitled "Belizean Herbs: There Uses and Applications". This book is only available through the Voodoo Spiritual Temple. In 1990, Priest Oswan Chamani married Priestess Miriam Williams where they both founded the Voodoo Spiritual Temple in New Orleans. On March 6,1995, Priest Oswan Chamani transcended into the arms of the ancestors where he is now resting at the feet of the Master, so that he will be nourished for his next incarnation. For the five years that both Priest Oswan and Priestess Miriam were married, they helped people everywhere through the Voodoo Spiritual Temple.

Even though Oswan has slipped away, his light and guidance will always shine around us. In March 1989, Priest Oswan said to Priestess Miriam, "I will die a long time before you, but when I die The Temple will be completely formed and you will do what is necessary to carry the Temple." And so it is, Priestess Miriam does have the necessary material that will uphold the Temple throughout these and future times.
